Norwich Public Schools Had No Choice But To Close on Friday

In an announcement by Norwich Public Schools Superintendent, Kristen Stringfellow, there would be no school today, Friday, January 14, 2022 due to teacher shortages. As of Thursday, 56 teachers and 33 paraprofessionals have already called out sick for today. COVID Testing Cancelled in Plainfield

According to an email sent from Plainfield First Selectman Kevin Cunningham, due to the impending dangerously low temperatures forecast for January 15th the SEMA 4 testing that was to occur at the Plainfield Town Hall from 10am to 2pm has been cancelled. This will not hinder future testing dates, also according to Cunningham.
