Man arrested in connection with Killingly assault, 1 dead

On 5/24/2022 at approximately 10:05pm, Troop D dispatch received a call requesting a wellbeing check on an adult male relative. The caller reported the individual was overdue to return home and was last known to be visiting the Whetstone Mill complex located in Killingly. After further investigation, the male was located within a condo at the complex having suffered life threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Eastern District Major Crime Squad responded to the scene and assumed investigative responsibilities. 43 yeaer old Alexander Neidhart IV was arrested in connection with the incident and was transported to Troop D where he was processed and charged with Assault 1st. Neidhart IV is currently detained on a $500,000 bond and was transported to GA 11 for arraignment. There is no threat to the public. The investigation is active and ongoing.
