Plainfield Police Looking For Public Assistance With Car Fire Investigation


On January 2, 2021 at approximately 4:41 A.M., the Plainfield Police Department along with Atwood Hose Fire Department responded to a parked vehicle on fire in the area of 147 South Walnut Street in Wauregan. Upon arrival of Atwood Hose Fire Department, the fire was extinguished and the vehicle was determined to be unoccupied.

The Town of Plainfield Deputy Fire Marshall and the Connecticut State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit were requested to the scene to conduct the cause and origin investigation. The incident is believed to be criminal in nature and will remain under investigation by the Plainfield Police Department.
