Plainfield and State Police Investigate Bomb Threat

 


On
January 8, 2021 at approximately 5:49 P.M. the Plainfield Police Department received a bomb threat from an unknown number directed towards an address on Pickett Road in Central Village, CT.

 

Members of the Plainfield Police Department responded to the scene and with the assistance of the Central Village Fire Department and Connecticut State Police Troop D closed the surrounding roadways. The property where the threat was directed and surrounding residences were evacuated.

 

The Connecticut State Police Bomb Squad was requested to the scene, who subsequently conducted a search of the property utilizing their explosives detection K9. Upon search no threat was detected.

 

This incident will remain under investigation by the Plainfield Police Department.
