BREAKING: Car Drives Into River In Danielson, Dive Team Called

At approximately 11:15 AM on Saturday, January 9, 2021, a vehicle went into the Quinebaug River in the area of Water St in Danielson.

According to an eye witness, the car was only partially submerged in the water and the driver was conscious throughout.

Lifestar Helicopter, which landed at St. James Church, did respond and was able to get the driver out of the car after they cut the top of the car off.

The driver of the car was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
