Detectives seek information in Pomfret bank robbery

On December 22, 2021 at approximately 3:46pm, Troop D Troopers and Killingly Constables responded to a reported bank robbery at the Centerville Bank located at 100 Averill Road in Pomfret, CT. Bank employees reported that a lone subject entered the bank and approached a teller station while holding a gun in his hand. The subject demanded money and employees complied. The subject is described as possibly male, approximately 5’2″ tall with a medium build. They were wearing a bright orange flat brim hat with possible lettering of “Knicks”, possibly sunglasses, a blue surgical mask, a dark colored hooded sweatshirt or jacket, dark blue jeans, dark colored shoes, winter gloves and a tan backpack. The subject fled the store in an undetermined direction. Anyone with information is urged to contact the State Police at 860-779-4900.
