Two Arrested in Jewett City Carjacking

On March 30, 2022, at approximately 10:44 PM, Troopers were dispatched to the Citgo gas station located at 69 North Main St in Jewett City (Sam’s Food Store) for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The vehicle was seen headed up Route 12 towards Plainfield along with another vehicle. Troopers were able to locate and stop both the stolen car and the accomplice vehicle.

The man driving the stolen car was identified as 18 year old Jordan Tromley of Hartford and held on a $25,000 bond. The other was 18 year old Sahvon Valentine of Plainville was held on a $100,000 bond and charged with Criminal Impersonation.

Both Valentine and Tromley are due in Norwich Superior Court on 4/14/22.

There were no injuries reported to the victim or the suspects. The case remains under investigation.
