Three Sent To Hospital After Plainfield Multi Car Collision

On December 25, 2020, at approximately 7:13 p.m., Officers from the Plainfield Police Department, the Plainfield Fire Department, American Legion Ambulance and the American Ambulance responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash on Plainfield Pike west of New Road in Plainfield.

32 year old Jonathan Vallejo was traveling westbound on Plainfield Pike in a 2005 Kia Spectra when he crossed the centerline traveling into the eastbound lane of travel. A collision subsequently occurred with a 2001 Subaru Outback operated by 51 year old Jason Clark.  The collision caused both vehicles to sustain heavy damage as a result.

Vallejo was transported for suspected serious injuries by the American Legion Ambulance to the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich.  Clark was subsequently transported for suspected minor injuries by the American Legion Ambulance to the Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, Connecticut. 42 year old Kristy Mcgaw, a passenger in the Subaru, was transported for suspected minor injuries by the American Legion Ambulance to the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut.

This crash remains under investigation.
