On December 9th, 2021 at approximately 4:57 a.m., Officers and Detectives of the Norwich Police Department were dispatched to the Taftville Xtramart Gas Station located at 186 Norwich Ave, Norwich CT, for a reported robbery at that location. It was later learned a white or Hispanic male entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the register and a customer inside the business.

There was a female suspect with the male suspect.

The Suspects were driving a Black 2014 Black Ford F-150 with a black bed cover.  The male is said to be a hispanic male, 5’8″, 140 pounds, and a slim build.  He was wearing a gray hoodie with a screen printed graphic, and black sweatpants.  The female suspect, hispanic, medium build wearing a black and red “Deadpool” jacket and possibly a pink hoodie.

It is believed that the vehicle used in this robbery was recently carjacked at gunpoint in East Hartford. The vehicle then traveled to Norwich, whereby the suspects committed this robbery. The vehicle was later matched to a vehicle used to commit a gunpoint robbery at a Shell Gas Station in Glastonbury CT. The same suspects were described in all three incidents.
