On Sunday, November 15, 2020, there was a reported car fire on I-395 North in between exits 18 and 22 in the town of Occum. According to the Connecticut State Police Public Information Office it was a mechanical issue that State Police responded to as well as local fire departments. Traffic was backed up for almost an hour and drivers diverted off of exit 18.
