Multiple Fire Departments Respond to Jewett City Blaze

A fire at 26 Phillips Rd in Lisbon on Saturday was responded to by multiple departments such as Lisbon and Jewett City.  By the time Jewett City FD arrived, the Lisbon department had the fire under control and extinguished.

Griswold, Yantic, and Taftville were also called to the fire however were sent back before they arrived.

There were no injuries reported however the family did suffer the loss of their family dog.

There are some reports on local social media, mainly “Lisbon Now” stating that the family has lost everything in the fire and looking for assistance.

The fire started in the kitchen and is still under investigation.
