On 9/23/21 at approximately 12:30 PM, the Ledyard Police Department received a 911 call regarding a road rage incident that occurred on Colonel Ledyard Hwy in Ledyard, where a handgun was allegedly brandished and pointed at another operator. Shortly after the 911 call, the suspect vehicle was located and stopped in Groton, with the assistance from Groton Town Police. The operator of the suspect vehicle, identified as 51 year old Edward Moore of Ledyard, and was arrested on scene. A black 9mm handgun was seized from Moore during the traffic stop. Moore was transported to the Ledyard Police Department where he was charged with Threatening, Reckless Endangerment, and Breach of Peace. Moore was processed and later released on a $5,000.00 surety bond with a court date of October 7, 2021 at New London Superior Court.
