Lady Wolverines Come Up Short, Lose to Tourtellotte

The Griswold Wolverines girls’ basketball team were on the road taking on Tourtellotte Wednesday night. The Wolverines and the Tigers tied the score at only two points after one quarter. The teams went into half-time with Griswold trailing 13-9. Beth Ladd was a big contributor on defense for Griswold, pulling down 11 rebounds. The Wolverines trailed 19-17 heading into the fourth quarter. Dani Krapf had a good night, scoring six points and grabbing six rebounds, but unfortunately, it was not enough.  Despite seven points from Emma Dembinski, the Wolverines could not get past Tourtellotte.  Head coach Kevin Babbcock attributed the loss to struggles on offense stating, “the team had too many turn overs in the fourth quarter.”  The final score 43-24 in favor of the Tigers.  The Wolverines’ record fell to 4 wins and 12 losses for the season. The next game for Griswold is tonight at 7:00, when they take on Windham Tech at home. Wolverine Radio will have a Live Broadcast of the game.
