Icy Conditions Helps Cause One Car Plainfield Accident

On February 8, 2022 at approximately 9:39 P.M., members of the Plainfield Police Department responded to the area of Starkweather Road, Moosup, in front of the Union Cemetery for a report of a one car motor vehicle crash. American Legion Ambulance and Moosup Fire Department were requested to the scene.

Upon arriving on scene an investigation was conducted which revealed 39 year old Denise Taylor of Plainfield was traveling southbound on Starkweather Road when she lost control of her vehicle due to the icy road conditions . This caused her vehicle to travel off the roadway and strike a tree causing disabling damage. Taylor was subsequently transported to Backus Emergency Care Center in Plainfield due to reported injuries and given a warning for Traveling to Fast for Conditions.
