Gales Ferry Man Arrested On Multiple Charges After Gun Discharges in his Home

22 year old Austin Thibeault of Gales Ferry answered to a warrant for his arrest from the Ledyard Police Department. This stems from an incident that happened back on July 27, 2021 at approximately 12:12 PM at his home where a handgun was discharged causing serious head injuries to a 3 year old boy.

Thibeault was charged with 2nd degree assault, Risk of injury to a child, 1st degree reckless endangerment, and Criminally negligent storage of a firearm.

Thibeault posted a court set $35,000 bond and will appear in New London Superior Court on December 1, 2021.
