On February 10, 2022 the Plainfield Police Department arrested 19 year old Malik Walker of East Hartford, Connecticut after he was linked to a rash of motor vehicle thefts in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Walker was developed as a suspect after his DNA was located inside a vehicle that was recovered in East Hartford, which was stolen from Plainview Drive in Wauregan, Connecticut on January 29, 2021.
Walker, who was incarcerated in Mansfield Youth Institution on an unrelated charges, was arrested at the Danielson Superior Court and charged with Larceny 1st Degree. Walker was held on a $30,000 court set bond and was arraigned on February 10, 2022
