COVID-19 infections remain high in Connecticut. In the report for 12/15/21, it shows a daily infection rate of 7.15% and the day before was over 8%.
COVID-19 hospitalizations are also on the rise in Connecticut. New London county has a total of 50 people hospitalized which is a number that has jumped almost 30% over the last 10 days. There are a total 716 Connecticut residents in the hospital with the coronavirus or related illness. Hartford county is the most affected with 220 residents in the hospital. Connecticut has now almost reached 9,000 COVID-19 related deaths (8946).
