On Wednesday, 01/26/22, at approximately 0700 HRS Troop D received a 911 call of a vehicle collision in the area of #295 Wauregan RD.
40 year old Michael Steele of Brooklyn was traveling south on Wauregan RD in his 2017 Chevrolet K1500 pickup truck, when he went off the roadway at which time he struck a tree and telephone pole causing the vehicle to roll over.
Steele was pronounced dead at the scene.
