Wrong Way Driver and Passenger Suffer Fatal Injuries In Highway Accident

On Wednesday, 11/25, at approximately 1:41 AM, a 2007 Freightliner tractor trailer driven by 43 year old Java Melvin from Linden, NJ, was driving in the right lane of a 2 lane section of I-95 south in Clinton, approaching exit 63.
In the same lane, driving the wrong way (northbound in the southbound side) a Honda CR-V EX driven by 35 year old Olger Armijos of New Haven, collided with the Truck head on, as it was unable to avoid the collision.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the Honda, and his passenger, 41 year old Heraldo Solano of New Haven were pronounced dead on scene. Melvin, the tractor trailer driver, did not suffer any apparent injury on scene and refused treatment.
