Here is a statement from the Office of the Inspector General regarding the in custody death at Norwich Police Department on Friday.
“The Norwich Police Department reported an in-custody death Friday morning. The Office of the Inspector General was notified and responded as well as the State Police Major Crime Unit, Central District, which will conduct the investigation. A Post Mortem will be conducted on 2/4 at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Farmington. The Norwich Police Department will be handling notification of the next of kin.”
