Multiple Departments Assist Atwood Hose Co. In Early Morning Fire

On November 9, 2020 at approximately 12:27 AM, Atwood Hose Fire Company was dispatched to an alarm at 3 Plainview Dr for smoke in the building, which was upgraded to a structure fire due to the heavy smoke in the dwelling.

The fire, which is said to have started in the basement, was contained with minimal spread.

There was only one occupant in the home. They were being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Atwood Hose was assisted by Moosup Fire Dept, Mortlake Fire Dept, Central Village Fire Dept, and Moosup Ambulance.

The fire remains under investigation by state and local fire marshal’s.
