Groton Man Rolls Car After Hitting Pole in Plainfield

On January 15, 2021 at approximately 6:30 PM, members of the Plainfield Police Department, American Legion Ambulance, and Plainfield Fire Department responded to the scene of a one-car motor vehicle crash on Kate Downing Road in Plainfield, Connecticut.

Following an investigation, it was determined that a 2006 Ford F-150 being operated by 55 year old Rodrigo Sagun of Groton was traveling eastbound in the area of 159 Kate Downing Road when the vehicle lost control going around the curve and went off the roadway into a utility pole which ultimately caused the vehicle to roll onto its driver side.

Sagun was subsequently transported by members of the American Legion Ambulance to the Backus Emergency Department in Plainfield for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

This crash remains under investigation by the Plainfield Police Department.
