Griswold Wrestling Team has Five Medalists at ECC Championships

The Griswold Wolverines wrestling team competed in the ECC Championships over the weekend. Griswold competed without two wrestlers, Dakota Gardner, and Cory Carr. Both were out due to illness.  The Wolverines had five medalists in the championships. Caden Odem, in the 152 Lb. class finished sixth. Stephen Sims, in the 182 Lb. weight class took fifth.  Johnny Falco, in the 195 Lb. weight class finished in third. Vashil Patel, also finished in third place in the 132 Lb. class. Jason Jacaruso finished as the highest placing Wolverine. Jacaruso took home second place in the 145 Lb. weight class. Griswold finished in tenth place overall, with 99 points.  Killingly won the championships with 203.5 points. The next tournament for the Wolverines is the CIAC Class S Championships, this Friday and Saturday.
