Griswold High School Presents ‘Grease’ as Spring Musical

Griswold, CT (April 7, 2022) – Griswold High School (GHS) is excited to present the beloved Rock ‘n’ Roll musical Grease this April in the GHS auditorium. Four evening shows will take place April 27-30, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale to the general public now for $12 per person, and are available at griswolddrama.com, while seats remain.

“It is great to be back producing a show after two years of not being able to host an audience, or even gather a group of students to sing in the same room,” said director Raymond Churchill, who has taught music at GHS for 28 years. “This will be my 26th production at Griswold High School, and even though most members of this cast have not had the chance to be in one of Griswold’s spring musicals, these students are excited to have their turn on the stage. Grease is a great show to get students and the community re-engaged in our program.”

Griswold High School last produced Grease under Churchill’s direction in 2007, as well as 20 years prior with director Robert Brouillard in 1987. For years, Griswold’s spring musicals have drawn about one-third of the student body to participate in some way in the cast and crew.

Members of the press are invited to attend an upcoming rehearsal at Griswold High School. Please contact us for more information.
