CIAC To Delay Start of Winter Sports In Connecticut High Schools

The possibility of High School Sports took a hit on Thursday as the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) notified schools that the original date of November 21, 2020 to start the winter sports season has been postponed pending the review of forthcoming guidance from the Connecticut Department of Health.

The DPH will then inform the CIAC of their suggestions for a winter sports plan for high school athletes with any possible modifications.

The CIAC Board of Control is expected to announce a new start date on November 17, 2020
